The organization also runs multiple broadcast networks which include Voice of America, Radio Free Europe, Radio Free Asia, Middle East Broadcast, and Office of Cuba while furnishing the news and information to the peoples worldwide.
However, USAGM has identified another data breach that leaked the confidential information of former and current data employees. According to the spokesperson of USAGM, they experienced a data breach after the phishing attack that was executed in December 2020.
These phishing attacks permit the attacks to gain access to the agency email account that holds the personal information of the present USAGM, Voice of America, and many others. This holds the information of employees who are worked in the agency between 2013 and 2020.
The leaked data holds the employee name, social security numbers of the employees, and the details of beneficiaries and dependents.
The USAGM also states that they were secured all the account was affected and they will also learn how this data breach executed, they will also provide phishing attacks and other information to their employees. The organization also applies MFA for the agency which includes OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office365 accounts.
Now the company is going to offer a 1-year free subscription to Experian Identity Works which is too late. Although the security experts told that the knowledge that the letter will be sent to the current employees on April 13th, four months after the attackers access the data.

According to the experts, this long delay of four months may give time to the attackers to execute the phishing attacks or to identify them. All the infected users should aware of these phishing scams, the attackers my access to the stolen data but the organization have to warn the uses and their family members as well.
