With regards to daily trading volume, Crypto.com is reportedly the world\u2019s third-largest cryptocurrency trading platform \u201con a mission to enhance the world\u2019s transition to cryptocurrency.\u201d<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Crypto.com CEO says around 400 Customers Accounts Hit<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In an interview, Crypto.com\u2019s CEO kris Marszalek acknowledged that around 400 customer accounts were negotiated following a recent hack suffered by the platform. We will explain in the article, the exact number of customer accounts affected is 483.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Investigators had previously estimated the effect of hack to be anywhere between $15 and $33 million. The platform additionally revoked two-factor authentication (2FA) tokens for its users, now prompting them to log back into the app and set up new 2FA tokens. At the time many customers reported issues when attempting to follow the reset procedure.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;No customers experienced a loss of funds. In the majority of cases, we prevented the unauthorized leave, and in all other cases, customers were fully reimbursed. The incident affected 483 Crypto.com users.&#8221; Withdrawal transactions were resumed on January 18th, at around 5:46 PM UTC, according to the company, after additional &#8220;security hardening measures&#8221; were put in place.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It seems this isn&#8217;t the first time the platform has suffered a technical issue. In May 2021, Our experts reported that a technical glitch led to duplicate purchases on the Crypto.com platform\u2014with customers inadvertently spending two or three times the intended amount on cryptocurrency purchases, with no restitution issued.
