Google Fixed Another Zero-Day Exploit Active in Google Chrome!

Google had fixed another active zero-day exploit present in Chrome 89.0.4389.72 version. This update was released on 2nd March 2021 while stabilizing the users of Windows, Linux, and Mac.

Whereas Google is already aware of these exploits named CVE-2021-2116 that present in Google Chrome. This version is now available for all the users, and you can easily update this by following the path described below;

However, the Chrome browser will automatically check for the update and installed it accordingly.

What Followed Next?

Google rated this zero-day vulnerability as high and they described the Object lifecycle issue in audio. This vulnerability is reported by an expert on 11th February 2021. Google said we are already aware of the vulnerability named CVE-2021-21166 that goes wild and they didn’t give any information related to the attackers who are working behind this attack.

While carrying the query Google also added that we will revoke some restrictions that exist in the bugs and control the actions taken by the attackers. Whereas Google also said that the details of the bug are remained confidential until all the users are not updated the Chrome.

Chrome users have more time to install this security update that release today while preventing the ongoing attacks.

Apart from this attack, Google fixed multiple other vulnerabilities present in February and also heap a buffer that overflows the bug named V8 in CVE-2021-2114 which is rated as high severity.
