A system administrator and high-level manager that are linked with the FIN7 threat actor have been arrested and send to 10 years of prison by the United States Department of Justice on Friday.
The person who is arrested is named Fedir Hladyr, a 35-year-old Ukrainian national who is responsible for playing a criminal role that attacks and leaks the information of ten million debit and credit card information that also includes stolen data, supervising other members of the group, or maintaining the server infrastructure that is used by the attack and that control the victim’s devices,
However, the development is executed after the Hladyr is pleaded guilty to the conspiracy of creating or committing wire fraud in September 2019. The attacker was captured in Dresden, Germany in 2018 and sent to the United States where he had been ordered to pay $2.5 million in exchange for prison or restitution.

The experts said that these criminal organizations had to work with more than 70 people and done business with teams. However, some hackers are used to develop the malware that was executed into the machines and some are responsible for crafting the malicious emails that phished the victims and infect their organization’s systems.

They are also named Anuak, a Carbanak based group or a Navigator Group that unleashed the malware campaigns and caused damage of more than $3 billion to merchants, banks, car companies, and consumers.
Whereas, the attackers involved are targeting the restaurants, hospitality, gaming sector, and other industries by sending spear-phishing emails that contain the decoy documents that used plundering customer payment car data which are used or sold in exchange for online underground market places in 2015.

The organization named FIN7 is responsible for 20 million theft and the customer records over the 6500 that are affected by these organizations and established in multiple locations. The United States also said that these FIN7 attackers are left their fingerprints that lead to the other attacks by the retailers established in the United Kingdom or France or Australia. The other high-level victims deal with Mexican Grill, Chili’s Arby, and others.
