On Sunday, the spokesperson shares the details about the attack, the organization said that their servers got hacker and their networks are not accessible. The system is not able to restore and the organization is doing its best while resolving the issues asap.
All the details about this attack or the malware used by the hackers are still unavailable at the moment. NWO application is still not working as their network is down and it also affects the organization’s email services and other online resources that come under the NWO.
Whereas Netherlands Initiative for Education and Research (NRO) and other organization National Governing Body for Practice-oriented Research SIA.
The NWO also said that their website is not affected by this attack and the external server hosting the ISAAC application and reporting system used by the applicants who have submitted the proposals are also not infected.
For security reasons ISAAC servers are shut down until they remove and fix all the infected applications by this malware. The working of SIA and NRO will also be suspended for some time.
The company also said that they were unable to provide any more details related to this attack and how it happens, whereas the investigation is going on and the system restoration is under process.
