Facebook will implement Limited Services to WhatsApp Users!

On 7th May 2021, Facebook disclosed that they will not be going to deactivate the WhatsApp user account who is not accepting their new and updated policy, while they will keep reminding the user to accept the policy asap.

According to Facebook, No user accounts will be doing to blocked or deleted from WhatsApp after this update. However, previously the organization said that those users who are not accepting the new policy will no longer able to access their account. The new updated policy doesn’t deal with the data-sharing agreement and they were not going to share any user personal WhatsApp information with Facebook.

The organization also said that, if the users will not agree with the new policy their WhatsApp account will not be banned, but they will not able to use the complete features of WhatsApp until the user is not accepting the policy.

Meanwhile, the organization said that users will not able to access their chat list, but they will able to answer incoming audio and video phone calls. In case their notification is enabled they can tap on that and read and reply to the message. The user will able to call back over the missed phones or video calls. Since the users have to agree with the updated policy if they want to access WhatsApp.

The company clearly said that they will be going to limit the services to the users who are not accepting the updated policies. Although, the user can receive incoming audio or video calls and message notifications on their devices.

Whereas, the user accounts which are not activated or not connected with WhatsApp are deleted after 120 days of inactivity, as per the standard policy on removing the inactive accounts while maintaining privacy and security.

Summering Up

This all started when WhatsApp updated privacy policies are questioned to leaked the user personal information with Facebook and it was planned and take effect on 8th February but the organization delayed it and the final update will roll out after 14th May.

WhatsApp will be cleared that these updates will not be going to share the personal user chats and other confidential data or profile information with Facebook. The organization will maintain user privacy and security, they were simply worked on how the user data is held and shared while using the applications for enhancing the businesses.
