Apple Proxy Safe Browsing to Hide iOS User’s IP from Google!

The later update of Apple 14.5 comes with a new updated feature that will assist the users and redirect all the fake websites and checks their proxy servers to protect user privacy and prevent stealing user IP addresses by Google.

Update consist built-in security feature in Safari browser that alerts about Fake Website and other malicious websites that reported as harmful or deceptive.

While concluding this Apple stay on Tencent Safe Browsing for users in China or Google Safe Browsing. Apple also creates a blocklist service that holds the list of URLs from the web that contains malicious or phishing content, while comparing the hash prefix determined from the website address and verified as a fraud.

If any website is from the list then the Safari browser will request Tencent or Google to block that website from user access and displays a warning message to the users.

With this update of iOS 14.5, all the verification are re-routed through the Apple proxy server, while all the request is originating from the same IP addresses.

While maintaining the security Apple ensures that the actual URL of the website of users is attempting to search will never be shared with a safe service provider, therefore it doesn’t leak any data related to the IP address of the device.

Apple spokesperson shares that in the new updated iOS beta, Safari doesn’t leak the IP addresses and maintains the proxy through the Apple servers to control the information leak.

This new update in Apple iOS and iPadOS is specially designed as privacy-oriented, that Apple rolling out and the change also include not disclose the data through collection practices in the App store.

This new update of iOS 14.5 will take care of applications and always ask about the user permissions before tracking them or locating them with other applications. The update also consists of a website identifier as a new framework to protect user privacy.

The update is currently running in the beta version and the full version is released very soon.
